Most residential pump jobs in the Valley are slabs and flatwork where the ready-mix truck cannot back up to the forms: backyards behind block walls, additions, carports, outdoor kitchens and long driveways. A line pump is usually enough; a small boom pump helps when the pour is over a house or a tall wall.
Concrete pumping companies place the concrete — they normally do not sell it. Your contractor (or you) orders the ready-mix separately, and the pour crew finishes the surface.
